1、 Current Status of Magnetic Materials Industry
1. Product output and value are not compatible
China's magnetic materials industry has begun to take shape in terms of output, but has not yet formed strong international competitiveness in high-end products.
2. Low performance of magnetic products
The production performance of neodymium iron boron magnets is generally around N35 (magnetic energy product of 35MGOE), N40 or above, and high coercivity grade N38H. Only a few companies can produce N32SH. The new brands launched abroad have reached N50 and N48H.
3. The production process and equipment are relatively backward
The total sales of specialized equipment for magnetic materials in China reached 143 million yuan, which can provide complete sets of production equipment for production lines. Therefore, domestic enterprises should try to adopt highly automated continuous production lines to reduce the impact of human factors and ensure product consistency.
2、 Development direction: Soft magnetic ferrite
The most widely used soft magnetic ferrite materials can be divided into four categories based on their applications and materials: manganese zinc power ferrite materials, manganese zinc high permeability ferrite materials for communication and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), manganese zinc based ferrite materials for deflection coils, and nickel zinc ferrite materials for RF broadband and electronic interference (EMI) suppression. The material is further developing towards high frequency, high magnetic permeability, and low loss, that is, the direction of two highs and one low. Devices are developing towards miniaturization, chip fabrication, and surface mount technology.
Permanent magnet ferrite material
Due to the increasing demand for high-end magnets in automobiles and computers, the proportion of high-end permanent magnet ferrite in China will rapidly rise. It is expected that during the 15th Five Year Plan period, the proportion of Y30H-1 series high-end products will increase from around 40% in 2000 to over 60% in 2005 (about 126000 tons), and the output of Y30H-2 brand and above series high-end products can reach about 10% (about 21300 tons), with the overall export proportion increasing to over 50%.
